Marian Bantjes
Marian Bantjes went from meeting with clients and and using the same process with each client to determine a solution, to not interacting with the client at all. She became the person who designers went to for type to be created as well as images. She left the city, commuting to work everyday, interacting with co-workers and clients, to living on in island full time in her creative space/ living space. Like many designers she used computers mainly, but enjoys using hands on techniques more then computers. When she wasn't getting commissioned work she spent her time creating what she wanted and getting he work out to the world. During her 40's she committed to creating works inspired by love and Valentines day as well. She went on to create works inspired by holidays like Christmas as well as continuing her work with Valentines day works. Marian creates most of her works by hand first and then continues on the computer instead of beginning on the computer. Marian was a opinionated blogger who wrote articles about topics from santa to deconstructing the alphabet. Marian is an awesome designer and creator with a unique ornamental style that is ever changing. She is constantly creating new designs and they are all more creative then the last. With a style influenced by illuminated manuscripts her work is easily identifiable.
